Springsteen Live At The Main Point 1975

Pat Carty's picture

Just a question for anyone who may have bought this, does the sound drop out during Kitty's Back, remain bogus during New York City Serenade and then come back up for Rosalita? I just bought it and I want to make sure I don't have a bad cd (it's very good by the way)

Why the Boss' "people"

haven't jumped on this release from a great height is puzzling

according to Uncut, it's legally released

"thanks to a loophole that allows US broadcasts to be released in the UK". ( It was originally recorded for broadcast by Philly station WMMR-FM.)

Really?

ok bring on Winterland 1978 please! I only have about 4 different versions of it

And is that the artwork they are using? Surely they could have done better than that

It's good to see that bootleggers still have trouble

with spelling...

That's a boot of the WMMR-FM tape that first appeared on the famous boot "You Can Trust Your Car To The Man Who Wears The Star" and is freely available on that Interweb in FLAC.

I didn't notice the spelling mistake

a friend has some dealing in the vinyl boot market and proudly gave me his latest Velvets release. Proud until I said 'Should that really be 'European SUN?'. Much expletive filled the air

The most famous mis-spelled boot is, of course...

Electrif Lycanthrope.

New York Street Serenade

On my disc (bought from a major online retailer), the sound quality on 'New York Street Serenade' isn't as good as 'Kitty's Back' or 'Rosalita' - it sounds like your typical FM radio bootleg quality. I'm not going to worry about it.

Although how come a major online retailer can sell bootlegs?
Are there any other bootlegs that major retailers sell worth having?

on spelling , having an sizeable collection of african albums

my trademark of quality is incorrect spelling and preferably incorrect track listings.

Spelling.

Not had a chance to check the sound quality but on my copy 'Point' is spelled correctly.

I've looked into it

and apparently the same thing happens on all the old bootleg copies of the concert, the quality dips considerably at the start of New York City Serenade which is a shame as it's one of my favourites. The quality of the first disk is excellent but let the buyer beware.
