Spotify help

Twangothan's picture

I had a look at Spotty when it first emerged and haven't used it much since. But now as I sit crocked with a bad back on the sofa I fancy exploring some new artists so I've installed the Spotty app on the iPad. But it just tells me something about premium content and can't stream and is the file on the PC to sync to blah blah. I confess I'm being idle as I could probably work it out via Google, but indulge me, I feel crap, I just want it to work. What's the answer?

Ta!

To use the iPad app

you need to be a paid subscriber. Well worth the money in my opinion but others may disagree!

You need to get off the sofa...

...and install it on your pc, then you can do the free thing from there. As grac says, you have to pay to then use it on iPad (or iPhone etc) but yes, well worth it.

Well worth it for me

Having just had an enforced spell in hospital the time passed more quickly with an iPhone, Spotify premium and listening to bands mentioned in a variety of posts on this site.

Bloody hell

I just opened the app again to have a look whether they've got the much hyped Silver Seas and immediately got an email from the nice folks at Spotty telling me I have a 48 hour premium subscription trial for free! Furthermore I can extend this to 30 days simply by clicking a link! Result. Mind you so far the SS are a bit meh. Maybe the business case for a Spotty subscription is the saving you make on not buying stuff you wouldn't have liked anyway?
