subscriber so it is a no brainer for me. Currently trying the Napster on trial and it looks fine for just Sonos. Do you get any downloads with Napster?
Spotify's desktop software is way better than Napster's online interface, which is a bit of a dog's dinner. So if you're doing some serious playlisting activity on the computer, Spotify wins hands-down.
Spotify Premium also streams at 320kbps, which is higher than Napster (256kbps) and Last FM (128kbps, I think?), so sound quality is better, particularly if you're running a Sonos through a decent amp, or through a higher quality DAC and amp.
Only just updated my Sonos and tried it out, but so far it seems to be faster from the handheld controller and the than Napster when searching, choosing and playing tracks.
You don't get any free downloads with Spotify, and it is a tenner rather than £5, but I'm already convinced enough to cancel my Napster subscription. I don't need it any more, and Spotify just seems to do what Napster does only better.
Did I say I'm VERY happy Spotify is now on Sonos. Well I am.
than Napster that maybe because I don't have any playlists on Napster and loads on Spotify!! Spotify connectivity seemed to disappear for a couple of hours for me this afternoon.

Probably because it's new software that hasn't been tested en masse and the vast majority of Sonos owners were all upgrading at once...
They had a notice on the Spotify site to say there was a Sonos problem and they were fixing it. Seems to be working fine now. I dare say there will be a few teething problems.
Ooh..
What's better? Spotify Premium or Napster? I'm on the £5pcm option with Napster. Ooh.. choices, choices.
I was already a Spotify premium
