The very funny,surreal and brilliant sitcom 'Nightingales' with Robert Lindsay? I couldn't find a clip anywhere to post but if anyone else can? I haven't seen it in years.

I remember that. It was about a group of nightwatchmen, and transmitted late at night to match. Genuinely odd, as I recall.

And very good too. Set in one room, a few corridors and the toilets and there was Film Noir, Shakespearean plotting, mutiny at sea, werewolves, Christmas parables and more. With just three actors and one guest each week.

The mutiny episode with Peter Vaughan is an absolute peach
