Songs Where The Title Is the Most Interesting Thing About Them

Lucas Hare's picture

I was lambasting The Band's Cahoots the other day to someone, and they said that the song Where Do We Go From Here was quite interesting. Then I realised that the only interesting thing about it is its title, and that it was incredibly apt for The Band at that point. Then I started thinking: are there any other songs (or albums, or bands) where the joy stops once you've heard the title? The only other one I could think of was Neil Young's Kinda Fonda Wanda, from Everybody's Rockin'.

off the top of the head

A short reprise for Mary Todd, who went insane, but for very good reasons - Surfjan Stevens (0.47) - not profound just wanky.

I Oughta Give You A Shot In The Head...

For Making Me Live In This Dump is the rather long winded title of Shivaree's first album, which I bought on the strength of the title alone...fortunatly for me it turned out to be a rather splendid and worthwhile purchase :))

Also in that catergory David Ford's fist CD I Sincerly Apologise For All The Trouble I've Caused containing the fantastic song and personal mantra Cheer Up [You Miserable Fuck]
