Something is happening here and we don't know what it is. Do you, Mr Jones?

This is apparently the cover of the upcoming Bob Dylan album.

People are speculating that the backseat tonsilectomy depicted involves two chaps. What do you think?

The ultimate Photoshop disaster?
My daughter's dismembered-doll box makes more sense in terms of which body part goes with which.
Does the blond head (obviously Brad Pitt) have a torso? Is the head of the dark person (obviously Dylan, still looking good) connected to the bare torso in the foreground? An arm connected to I'm-not-sure-what seems to preclude any sort of ongoing neck activity linking the two.
Now follow the spine of "Dylan" down to where it's cropped off at the bottom, then pick up the back of the trousered thighs in the bottom left corner. Imagine what must have been cropped off for that body to make sense: an arse approximately the size of Wales.
Actually looks okay to me
But if you want some proper photoshop disasters, well the site name says it all.

Second road accident...
...for Mr Dylan?
(OK - Car crash would work better, but be historically inaccurate)
Bringing it all back seat
Wasn't there some sort of is-it-a-man-or-a-woman scandal on a Dylan album about 45 years ago?
Will the new album be as good as its cover, though?
Wondering...
why it matters?
Wirralboy's remark
x 2.
Who said it mattered?
It's just interesting.
like the typeface
However the picture is a bit Athena/Levis ad. Still, you can't judge a book by the cover, and on that subject, one of my favorite Dylan records is Good As I Been To You, and that's got a bobbins cover.
No Cover Art
The also terrible cover on Bruce Springsteen's latest album now seems like a work of art in comparison! Hope Bob's albums sounds better than it looks!
The cover image is by Magnum photographer Bruce Davidson...
taken from his series 'Brooklyn Gang' from 1959. I'm sorry, but describing his work as 'Athena / Levis ad' is doing great disservice to one of the greatest photographers of the twentieth century!
Here's a link to more photographs from the series... see what you think.

The mystery remains unsolved
That's as may be, but it's still cropped to defy all known principles of human anatomy. I'm now starting to think, having seen the rest of the series, that there must be bits of three or four people in that shot.
I stand corrected
Excellent photos, thanks for the link. However in the context of a CD cover that's exactly what it looks like to me... I call it like I see it. Perhaps it's the combination of elements that looks cheap?
that's a good sleeve -
I reckon. Gorgeous typography evoking bygone times as does the photo. Anyone know if Chip Kidd is involved in its design? The horizontal split is one of his favoured compositions.
My version...
Clunk Click Every Trip
or not.
I wouldn't bet against it.
I also wouldn't bet against it being ten more straight ahead, mid-tempo boogie-blues with minimal tuneage. Happy to be proved wrong though.
Blonde on....
Black, surely?
Will the next album
have that picture of the female tennis player scratching her arse on the cover?
