So you're all clear how Derren Brown guessed the Lottery Numbers now, right?

Right? (Or was the 'how I did it' last night just more smokescreen?...)

the man's a witch...
But we've discussed this.
Burn him now! He weighs the same as a duck!
60 minutes
of tat.
Was it
a trick?
The only thing
I learned from last night's programme was that neither of the expanations given were the real one. I'm assuming it was video trickery -some kind of split screen thing?
well clearly
it was a trick. Clue: he didn't reveal the numbers until AFTER the draw.
It wasn't
magic?
bargepole assumed anyway
that he was never going to give his secret away, or there goes the mystique!
in fairness he makes it clear in his book that it's all simply illusion, misdirection etc, and obviously it's impossible to predict six random numbers. people want to believe otherwise of course, which is what he plays on!
Didn't see it
But I still think the basic problem is he's on TV and TV is an illusion. He can't explain how he did things because he would have to explain what part television played in it.
Indeed
He claimed to have used a group of 24 people and the principle of the accuracy of average crowd predictions being correct; but that's OK when guessing the weight of a cow but does not apply to random numbers. It was a waste of time.
David Blayne was more impressive in his show straight afterwards.
Guessing the weight of a cow
Now that's a better way to run a lottery, surely...
Guessing the weight of a cow - that's a better way
to elect a Government!
can we leave
Harriet Harman out of this
Whenever I see Derren Brown
I think of this-
Me too
But Phoneix Nights really is "Magic"
