Have you seen the Eric Clapton songbook, free with today's Guardian? It contains '..five classic songs...from one of the world's greatest guitarists, the heavily blues-influenced Eric Clapton.'
- Wonderful Tonight
- Tears in Heaven
- Presence of the Lord
- Let it Grow
- Lay down Sally
Good job they didn't pick any of his rubbish songs then, or all those budding guitarists would have missed out that heavy blues influence.

Observer
Sunday's Observer supplement was quite odd as well, featuring guitar heros such as....Nick Cave? NC being admirable in many ways but I'm not sure I've seen him in the pantheon of great guitarists. It also had the oddest mixture of styles and levels of difficulty I wonder who it was supposed to be for.
Thanks for info
I'd intended to go out and buy it at lunchtime, but got diverted. Glad I didn't bother.
I thought (and I realise he didn't write some of these) there would be a selection from:
Crossroads
Layla
Key to the highway
Badge
Blues power
Tales of brave Ulysses
Farther on up the road
Slunky
