Simply Red "splits up"

Mediatwin's picture

What next ? Robbie Williams going his separate ways ? Prince having creative differences with himself ?

What is Simply Red apart from Mick and whatever band of session musicians he hires at the time ? I'm sure that after a decade of the solo Mickster, the "Simply Red Reunites!" tour will follow as sure as autumn follows summer...

simply dreadful

Also imagine all those meetings over the years with Mick talking about Simply red in the third person! I hear The The have split up .....

Gone and Forgotten

To help us cope with this tragic loss, I can share the good news that The The are still together, Nine Inch Nails are currently touring, and Guns N' Roses have a new album out sometime this century. It's good to know that these groups have been able to put aside their musical differences where it was all too much for the longtime member of Simply Red. Wait a minute...

How exactly can Mick Hucknall now have a solo career? Didn't he already have a solo career? I'm so confused. But clearly not half as confused as the Mickster.

The The

Great news re Simply Red "disbanding!" (I think he split up his band after their second album) but not looking forward to the solo years;may have to migrate to the moon. Interesting re The The, but surely Matt Johnson is The The, so how can they still be together? Would love them to tour again with some new material. Matt Johnson is an amazing singer/songwriter and vastly underatted, unlike the million sellers Simply Red who were vastly overatted and shit.

Overrated by whom?..

I don't know a single person on the planet who thinks they're (He's) any good.
Barry Manilow sells millions of albums but you'd never call him overrated.
