Sennheiser CX200 - Help!!!

SimonL's picture

I bought some of these a few weeks ago, and I'm loving them. They sound great, feel comfortable on a long journey, and are the first headphones I've ever used with the iPod that I've had to turn DOWN.

But there's one thing about them that's doing my head in, and that's the little rubber adapters that come with them. You see, while they fit perfectly, which some in ear headphones don't for me, due to small ears(!!), they don't always stay on the headphone.

So I've lost at least three single adapters. I'm running out of spares. And, can I find replacements to buy? No I can't. Do they even exist? Or am I going to be forced to buy another set of headphones purely to get the adapters?

I know there's a few people around these parts who use them. Any ideas?

Thanks

Strangely none of those came up when I was searching Amazon. I found some variants on the US Amazon site, but nothing over here.

Blimey they're pricey though for what they are!! But I need them!

Thanks again!

More variations on this theme

at a certain well-known auction site (if you "Include title and description" in your search).

Foam buds...

Would a set of these fit on the headphones: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Koss-PLUG-REPLACEMENT-CUSHIONS-Expanding/dp/B000...

They are a foam bud - perhaps more of a snug fit.

I've got funny ears

but my mate Tony doesn't. he had the same problem as you, gave up and passed his on to me. After a thorough cotton budding, I've been enjoying them ever since! Swings n roundabouts, I suppose.

I think what you really really need is one of these...

It's so easy to have an ear-bud pop off when removing from a pocket or something - spent half a flight from Glasgow to London scrabbling on the floor of the plane looking for one once!

Superglue

I put a drop of superglue onto the stub and then popped the rubber bit on, which held them a bit longer. If you are on the small ones I have some spares - I'm a medium sized boy! - drop me a mail and I can send you a couple if you need them.

Thanks for that, but I've now got far more than I use

I happened to mention it at work and somebody there who only uses the large buds brought me a bag full!!
