Steerpike's picture

Well not quite. But as this news item explains: http://news.stv.tv/scotland/north/163021-is-there-life-on-mars/ ... it is now reasonable to assume that it is possible.

Actually, It's just an excuse to air this crusty nugget with you:

Herbie Flowers?

Is that the great Herbert on bass?
His bass is older than I am...

It is and he's amazing

Seen the show twice and they have quite a few of the originals back as part of the production... Justin Heyward (obviously!), Chris Thompson from MM's Earth Band, Herbie on bass and Chris Spedding on lead.

I'll tell you, even in the "reading the dots" format of the show Herbie and Chris completely rocked!

Bumped into Mr F wandering around Brighton the day after the show. What a top bloke too.

I assume that's Jeff Wayne...?

...if so that's the first time I've seen him. One trick pony? Did he do anything else? Mind, that album was probably the soundtrack of my childhood.
