Rough Trade's albums of the year 2011

Barry Vaughan's picture

Josh T. Pearson, Last of the Country Gentlemen

and then

Nicolas Jaar, Space Is Only Noise
Kurt Vile, Smoke Ring For My Halo
Gillian Welch, The Harrow & The Harvest
PJ Harvey, Let England Shake
Veronica Falls, Bad Feeling
Zomby, Dedication
John Maus, We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves
The Head And The Heart, Self-Titled
White Hills, H-p1

I am in no way affiliated to RT, its subsidiaries etc etc. However, I do like Josh Pearson and Gillian Welch.

Nicolas Jaar

should be top of the list. Best album of the decade (so far), imho.

Must have been

a cheery old year chez Rough Trade judging by that list. Nice to see The Head And The Heart in the top ten though, it really is a great record.
