Ronnie Spector

I'm just listening to the Ronnie Spector album, Last Of The Rock Stars (I know I'm a bit late, but it's just been reissued with an extra track...), and it's a very reasonable collection, with a few proper highlights.
Anyway, thought I'd check on Amazon for a decent Ronettes compilation and found this:

With Chrimbo on the way, it might just be the best £5 you'll spend this festive season.*
*Assuming, of course, Phil Spector hasn't been sent packing to Glitterville.

Agreed its a steal I have it
Agreed its a steal
I have it and its one instance of remastering producing a full dynamic sound on a 1960's recording
Just say yes
with one-click. What a must-have bargain.
Only a fiver this time - but crikey - this site has cost me some dough if I totted up.
Saw her live,
at the Arches, Glasgow within the past year. She wasn't very good at all. Real pretensions towards diva status (in a dingy basement club!), had to sit down for a lot of the set (not in itself a bad thing - check Solomon Burke or Etta James), didn't treat the material with much respect and bizarrely kept tugging at her knicker elastic. (I can't describe her weird action any better than that.)
Great drummer though who had a manic grin on his face as he started off on "Be My Baby".
if i was a drummer and found
that I didn't have a manic grin on my face as I started off on 'Be My Baby' I'd be asking somebody to check me for a pulse...

I love this E.P. - covers of Ramones, Beach Boys and Johnny Thunders, it's one of my favourites.
Last Of The Rock Stars
Check out the lyric second time around on 'Girl From The Ghetto' ...
"I hope your cell is filled with magazines/And on every page you see a big picture of me"
Ouch!
thanks for the tip
what a steal.
