Rock's awkward moments

It's 1975, it's the Grammy Awards. John Lennon and Paul Simon are presenting an award. An old friend arrives onstage. Tension reigns.

I do miss the days...

...of the satirical dinner jacket tee shirt.

Bring back the...

...flying cardboard cut-outs! It'd probably enliven the evening for those that have been availing themselves of relaxants to help them through the ceremony.

If we only knew what he was reading at the time...

and thanks to his website we can. This was in a small New Yorker piece the other week. Beneath that satirical dinner jacket tee shirt lurks a dedicated and serious reader. You can look through a list of every book he's read since 1968. Keeping a list of everything you're read for forty years? Sounds like a very Word reader type of thing, perhaps a subscription invitation should be sent... You can see the list here: (http://www.artgarfunkel.com/library.html)

The same awards ceremony

gave rise to one of the more awkward rock photos, featuring Dave Bowie right in the middle of his coke addled phase. You know that bloke at parties who has just done a bit too much and keeps going on and on and on? Well that's him there.

More awkward than this? If

More awkward than this?

If Mr.Lennon was to walk past on his daily tea route why St.Peter was having a chin-wag with Mark Chapman at the Pearly Gates.

Liam Hatchet | 5 February 2008 - 11:03pm

Er.......

run that one past me again Liam......

eddie g | 6 February 2008 - 12:20am

Just a little hypothetical

Just a little hypothetical situation, eddie G.
Don't really think Chapman would garner much interest from St.Peter...he generally looks down on murderers.

Liam Hatchet | 6 February 2008 - 12:48am

Oh...
