Rock Cops

somerville's picture

My friend Mark and I often amused ourselves by solving some of Rock's dillemas - normally by envisaging Rock Cops cracking the case in a Sun Hill-esque "nick" complete with flip charts and squeaky marker pens. Here are some from the SOLVED file. Please feel free to contribute.

CASE 1: THIN LIZZY - JAILBREAK
DILLEMMA: "Tonight there's going to be a Jailbreak - somewhere in this town"
SOLUTION: The Jail? It's not going to be Halfords now, is it?

CASE 2: THE CLASH - SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?
An easy one this. If he goes there will be trouble. If he stays there will be double. Therefore he should stay. End of.

There were some others, but happily, I don't remember them.

You sure?

Am I being a bit thick here - but if staying means 'double' (trouble presumably) and if going only risks 'single' trouble, then he'd be best advised to 'go', surely?

yes.

I got that wrong didn't I?

That, in a very real sense, is justice for you.
