The Roadies Gig seems to be a thing consigned to that great closet in the sky, as A Pink Floyd may have written.
I recall fantastic keyboard and drum solos from the roadies at an Hawkwind gig c.1975 at the (famous) Glasgow Apollo. Not just yer "Wun, wun cheEW!" that night, I'll tell ye.
I also recall a guitar solo at a Steve Hillage gig by a roadie that had the crowd baying for more, or was it the cigarette the lady that smelled of patchouli sat next to me passed?
