RIP Richie Hayward

Very sad news about the passing of Richie. An outstanding drummer - his contribution to Feat's sound and groove should not be underestimated. A polyrhythmic master. Also provided sterling drumming for Robert Palmer, Clapton and on Helen Watson's 'Blue Slipper' amongst many others.
He apparently not only had liver cancer, but also pulmonary fibrosis (which is not really treatable) and finally pneumonia.
A sad loss.

He'd been in bad health for quite a while
Wasn't it his hospital bills on the back cover of Time Loves A Hero? Still, this comes as something of a shock and I'm really sad about this.
I had the pleasure of seeing Little Feat a few times and they were always nothing less than magnificent.
RIP Richie.
Saw the Feat twice in recent years
Sorry to hear Richie's departure for the last great Jam.
Saw the Feat twice in recent years.
All original members except Mr. George (R.I.P) included.
When they locked into a groove in such as Fat Man in a Bathtub they were really something.
Richie was such a key part of this.
Little Feat always one of my Favourite Bands.
Check out http://www.littlefeat.net/ for all things Feat.
Too sad
My all time favourite band lose the engine. So sad. RIP Groovemeister.
One of the greats
So Richie Hayward and Robbie McIntosh are now behind the traps in the celestial band of funk? God must be in heaven!
