Yet another good one gone. The British film director who gave us that car chase in "Bullit".The fabulous "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" "The Dresser " among others.
In my house he's remembered for being the director of my comfort film.

... Krull
I loved Krull...
...it came out the same year as Return Of The Jedi and I know which I prefer. Liam Neeson, Robbie Coltrane, Francesca Annis, Bernard Bresslaw and Todd Carty in the same film. If Kenneth Williams had replaced Freddie Jones as the 'Gandalf' they'd have had to call it Carry On Baggins.

Best coming-of-age movie ever. With bikes too.

Summer Holiday and Bullitt

'Bullitt' was on last night; I've got it recorded and it will be viewed again on Friday in tribute to Mr Yates.
