Nod to the Massive. This looks like it could be a good documentary: Requiem for Detroit, a film about the rise and fall of the city; BBC2 13th March...

The ruins of Detroit
Magnificent photographs

Blimey...
Crikey, those pics are good - and VERY spooky, and concerning - especially with the title of the collection, The Ruins of Detroit. Detroit looks like a dead city, like some real-life 'Escape From New York' or 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes'
United Artist Theatre
Michigan Central Station
The Virtual Motor City site is definitely worth a look if you get chance, too. Some amazing old news-reels from the birth of Detroit as a 20th Century city.
I'm looking forward to it
As a visitor to Detroit last year I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing when, only about a mile from the Motown Studio (which could be in "Anycity USA" there were people on tractors at the side of the road. I would have liked to take a picture but it didn't really seem to be that sort of an area! It all starts to make sense now.
