Presumably this was shot in the thirties and yet even then they had to build a set to put him in a historical context. They invented the past even back then. They've been doing "Americana" for ever.

Yes it was very good indeed and my Mum even enjoyed it which is remarkable. She commented that Mark Lammar is one of Radio 2's best presenters, which isn't far from the truth at all.
