Really very good telly

Watching this last night on iPlayer made me think of recent posts pondering where all the decent television has gone:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00c81yz

An extraordinarily moving, sometimes funny programme about fairly ordinary people who's parent's were cruelly affected by the holocaust before they fled to the UK and had children. Though really it's just about people's relationships with their parents, something I'd suppose most of us can relate to one degree or another. Watch it if you can.

I watched that...

...and an old colleague of mine was one of the subjects. The whole series has been very good. Worth catching up with the most recent one which was about the former owner of the Faith show shop chain who was spending all his money trying to stop Jews from marrying "out".
