I'm told by a booker that he doesn't need the work (thanks Whitney) and so he prices himself very very high indeed and that scares off most bookers.

I'm a lapsed member
as I only had it for Meltdown ticket purchasing and the last couple have been not to my taste overall. Will aim to go to Nick Lowe and ver Madness at least. Sonics + Wire is tempting too.

to buy tickets?
You get
48 hours priority booking. It costs about £27 and when I did it for a Meltdown acouple of years ago I was in the front two rows for all the concerts I booked for a year.
It's worth doing and I will be doing so again this year as I will not miss Wire a second time this year!

thanks, I might give that a go - how many tickets can you book per gig as a member?
I just called them
as I couldn't remember and it's a maximum of four tickets per concert. That is also the limit for non members too.
