Rash Promises...
A couple of years ago, I made a rather rash promise to my wife that *if* Fleetwood Mac ever toured over here again, I'd make sure that she got in to see them.
Now, given that since then, I've spent an increasing amount of cash on gig tickets - I got a subscriber's email this morning telling me that they will be on these shores in October.
Therefore, before even blinking, I'd spent (hold your breath) £167.75 on just two tickets for OK(ish) seats at Wembley Arena (a venue I despise on SO many levels...), but at least Lindsay B will be there, and Mrs P will be in delights of many kinds.
That's going to hurt the figures in the Patterson-exchequer this month....but will the brownie points be worth it, I wonder? I flamin' hope so...
Toast for lunch again, I think....

Intervening years and re-re-rehab notwithstanding
I think it has the potential to be a Chaintastic night out, in a Led-Zep-at-the-02-type way, if this clip is any indication.
I saw them on the Rumours tour, and I also was dragged there against my better judgement, but I came out drooling.
I saw them on their last outing
with this same line-up and it was really rather wonderful.
Ms. Nicks was missing the stack-heeled velvet boots that she previously used to wear all summer long, but boy does she still know how to shake a tambourine! Venue permitting I suspect you'll (secretly)love it.
More good news
The Arena has been sorted out - they've had a refurb and the sound is shitloads better. It feels less like a cattle shed. Oasis rocked it hard.
now you're talking...
THAT is good news, the sound was never that good, and that was my main problem, well, that and it is miles from anywhere sensible!
Will now head home, to beak the good news....
