Radiohead, two new songs

raffa's picture

Just received an email from Radiohead HQ, and the two new songs released for Record Store Day ('Supercollider' and 'The Butcher') on 12" are available for free download. Presumably to all of those that bought the King of Limbs/ on their mailing list. So check your emails!

Thanks Radiohead

Those nice Radioheads

A nice gesture to their fans. Made my day anyway.

Yep

A lovely surprise that was. Not sure about Super Collider yet, although I admire the way it seems top be aiming for the missing link between house music and glitchtechnoartrockgloom

Thanks for posting...

... not least because the email from Radiohead HQ went straight to my spam folder and I doubt I would have located it without knowing. Cheers!

A techno-bumpkin asks...

Is this download only available to people who purchased KOL on-line, does anyone know? Presumably there's some kind of code or password you have to enter...?

I bought the CD in a shop! (Old goat that I am.) I managed to get the 12" last Saturday so no worries either way, but would certainly have got the download for convenience if it is legitimately mine for the taking. Sounds like not, though.

The link for the new songs

The link for the new songs takes you through to the 'tracking' area where you bought KOL, and you have to enter in your email/ password. So it seems that this is only available to those who bought the album online.

The boys did have to say this,

p.s. This is not part of a new loyalty points scheme, a Radiohead clubcard or even an air miles redeemable reward type thing...
It is just a big old-fashioned thank you!

I doubt there would be any cries of foul play if you were to obtain these tracks for convenience elsewhere.
