Quiz - post your scores here

Martin_Horsfield's picture

I just wanted to be able to post this...

You got 5 of 5 correct.
Your score: 100%

0

I got 2 out of 5. I suck.

I got 2 out of 5. I suck. The only one I actually got right-right was the William Burroughs question. And even then, only by elimination. Bound for what?

Don't feel bad

I got 3 out of 5, and I had the answers in front of me.

Fraser Lewry | 17 December 2007 - 5:29pm

No excuse

I got 2 out of 5, and they were all guesses.

0
Lucas Hare | 17 December 2007 - 5:38pm

There's always tomorrow

2 out of 5 here as well. Nearly all guesses.
Mike Read's Pop Quiz is probably easier.

One out of five

Although I had the right reason but the wrong answer for one, and an answer which was technically correct but not the one you were looking for for another. I'm looking for my Edward de Bono hats in time for the next instalment even now....

OK - so I only got 20%

...but I had perfectly good reasons for selecting the "wrong" answers - they just weren't the same reasons that you had. I dislike multiple choice quizzes intensely for this very reason (i.e. I never get them "right")

Well done Martin

I'm really happy for you. Now meet me behind chapel and I'll thrash you into a pulp-like substance with my leather-bound edition of Horace.

3 out of 5, but what's "the right answer" anyway?

Given any 5 names, you can usually make a case for any of them being the odd one out, so it's all a bit arbitrary. F'r instance, in Question 3, I said Jagger, since he was the only one who didn't play Live Aid (just sent that shitty video of Dancing In The Street). Which was a better answer, sez I, than the "right" one about knighthoods or some such imperialistic nonsense.

80% today

and the wrong reason for 3 of those (see earlier posts!)

A-ha!

Zero. Zilch. Nada. One less than one.

Lateral thinking never my speciality.

I cook a mean chilli though. And read the Guardian. I know, I know...

It's getting better all the time

3 out of 5 today, and for the other two I was on the right lines but had the wrong answer.
Oh, and Jagger did play Live Aid - he was on with Tina Turner.

Respect!

I prostrate myself before your superior recollection...

Getting there

I got 2 in Part Two and 4 in Part Three. The only one I knew for sure was the Bruce Springsteen/ film titles question. Interestingly the film Badlands inspired not the song Badlands, but the song Nebraska.

Lucas Hare | 19 December 2007 - 10:39am

Bah!

Part two, and my lack of Springsteen knowledge/interest lets me down:

You got 3 of 5 correct.
Your score: 60%

Genius. Top od the Pops.

...and indeed humbug

OK, I'm back among the mortals now. But I thought this was 'The Word', not 'Whose Baby'.

You got 2 of 5 correct.
Your score: 40%

Oh dear. Looks like you've got some growing up to do.
