Could do better
12 correct (1,2,3,4,5,7,11,13,17,25,26,30)
3 artist only correct (10,15,24)
2 wrong (including 1 I own) (12,14)
2 kicking myself that I didn't spot (21,29)
Eight - Oh Dear
That's not very good, is it? Or does it show how long it is since I used to sit, poring over the big ol' gatefold sleeve of each new purchase. I must confess these days I hardly glance at the cover of a CD before giving it a few listens, ripping it to my iPod, then sticking it back on the shelf until the day someone's lumbered with clearing it all out when I pop me clogs.
Nineteen...
Didn't get 2, 3, 8, 12, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25 (Thought Neil Diamond was Madonna's 'Music'!), 30
And I am somewhat ashamed to discover...
that Britney Spears' bellybutton has entered my subconscious.
Bloody hell that was difficult
Some were v obvious... Windowlicker and Black Grape for example, but I have to confess I've never seen half of them before! :o(
Twelve
I was convinced the New Order sleeve was The Verlaines - Way Out Where
I think if we were to include The Verlaines....
...you would have been entitled to get cross. All the records included are either significant hits or by big name acts.
20 correct (1, 2, 4, 5, 6,
20 correct (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, 28) - I'm quite chuffed with that, even got Osibisa! (but only because I've got a book on Roger Dean's artwork). Of the one's I didn't get I actually own 4 of them - oops!
Nineteen right
I didn't have any where I knew the artist but not the sleeve. The only one I own but didn't get was Power, Corruption & Lies. I'm annoyed I didn't get Bongo Fury.
18/30
Eighteen correct 60% fairly pleased with that-nice to see Bill Nelson's Sunburst Finish in there especially after Mr Drayton's recent article.
maximum forehead slappage
14 completely right, another 2 where I guessed the artist but not the album, but I couldn't get the Cure one or the Elton John one for L nor M - both of which I have at home.
Gah!
I got 8....
but I don't think I'd have got any more if I'd spend all day looking.
I thought the New Order one was Coldplay's X&Y.....
You're Only As Good As Your Last Game Son!
Beyond bad! Not even going to embarass my self by admitting the score!
I love my music and have a very healthy collection but even after knowing the answers I wasnt even aware some of those albums even existed!
Oh well, back to the shop then!
