I like this because:
* Black Kids is the best name for a group I've heard in a while
* The sentiment of the song "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend" is one of those thoughts whose hour has come
* It reminds you just how influential the Cure have been

They sound that similar, it's possible that "nicked from" would be more accurate. The main difference that I can see is that it sounds more teen-oriented. Not bad, but could do without the girly bit...

The Cure seem to have been rather forgotten in recent years, it's nice to know that they've been 'influencing' young bands.

but why his he singing "ever since I was a little girl?" cos I doubt he was ever a girl, little or otherwise.

This guy has the mannerisms but not so much the voice. Musically there is a Cure influence I would say. I like it.
But now he has gotten over it and I think this is really brilliant.
Deserves to be a hit.
