Quick Beatles question

Top of the head answer, no Googling ... what's the only Beatles album* to feature nothing but Lennon-McCartney compositions?
(*mainstream UK releases only ... no idea what variations Johnny Foreigner might have made)

Is it

Sgt Pepper?

My guess

is that there isn't one.

clue? not saying yea or nay yet

There is an album that fits the bill. Early albums tended to have covers of tracks from the USA, later albums tended to have Harrison songs.

Hard Day's Night

Just been writing about it! (I work in the Beatles Story in Liverpool)

Jamie_Bowman | 17 April 2008 - 3:26pm

correct!

Ivan was there first. Be interested to hear what you were writing about it, Jamie.

Nothing that interesting...

I'm afraid. Just five facts about the film for a display in the museum. That was one of the facts!!

Jamie_Bowman | 17 April 2008 - 3:34pm

I knew

That A Hard Day's Night was the first to consist of only their compositions. It hadn't occurred to me that it was the only one.

another thought

Had another think about my clue above. Then realised that in fact George had a song on 'With the Beatles' called 'Don't Bother Me'.
