Question Time - James and Galloway
Posted by peterthecook on 23 July 2009 - 11:24pm.
As I write this, I'm watching the last in the series of Question Time, and Clive James and George Galloway are on the panel. I've a certain fondness for Clive and a certain loathing for George, but they've both been excellent panellists.
Any thoughts?

only saw the end
but they both said some sensible things about Afghanistan, sandwiched as they were before the utter Hoon known as Geoff Hoon.
George Galloway
Is a marvellous orator as well as a monstrous egotist. I find it difficult to like him but, at the same time, I warm to him. An interesting man.
If I'd have known they were both on QT, I'd have watched it instead of listening to music and reading books.
George Galloway looks like
an evil Bond villain.
I'm the other way
Both are self-loving beyond the bounds of decency, but once you get beyond the preening, only one of them has served any purpose for the public good. Which is why I warm to Gorgeous but James leaves me cold.
