Purchases you made on Amazon while drunk.

I'll start since I created this thing (whilst sober incidentally). Moonlighting DVD box set. There I've said it. Favourite show as a teenager. Sitting on the shelf for a month and I can't bring myself to stick one on. It would be like re-visiting the first time I tried asking a girl out.

I awoke one Saturday morning

to find I'd bought a huge box set of The West Wing. £40 and around a hundred discs for a show I'd never even seen a single minute of. And all because people had told me it was good and it was reduced from £100.

Happily, it turned out to be ruddy marvellous, but it could have been a lot worse.

2 things for me

An accoustic guitar while sitting drunk in the pub with MrXSG from this parish. I can't play guitar and already had a Squire Strat I can't play either. Funny that - I was convinced a different guitar would solve my talent issues.

Seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But that is so full of awesome I was happy when they turned up.

Freaks and Geeks...

Had heard about this show but never seen it, bought the box set around 4am much to my hungover surprise the next day. Fantastic buy and contains one of my favourite scenes from any show...

Attack of the Grey Lantern expanded 2 disc set

by Mansun

One of my favourite albums and I was going through a bit of a Mansun thingey when I spotted this. Only £12.99, I thought "why the hell not?" omitting the thought that went "you have 98% of the extra tracks on this, remember all those Mansun eps. you bought". I don't really regret it but I didn't really need it.

I intend to get sloshed today as I finally signed the papers that makes me a man of leezure - ill health retirement - with a nice lump some coming my way. I feel some sort of online purchase will be made later in the day.

Why Thankee Mr. Dog!

that's really touched gather, gather me, congratulations are the order of the day.
It is a blessed relief to be away from local gov. and the terrible state it's heading for. It was never my plan to get ill (took my job too seriously, ie. actually worried myself sick) and actually retire early, but I'm very fortunate to have been in a good pension scheme for over 30 years.

I fully intend to splurge tonight and a glass shall be raised in your honor.

cheers man

Um. Victoria Coren's porn book.

Can't imagine how THAT happened.

I'd imagine you put the words

"Victoria," "Coren" and "porn" into Google. Of course, you were looking for that book she wrote, weren't you, Bob?

Disgusted.

Give me some credit.

(That's a shit search string. Far too unspecific.)

Ron Sexsmith

A combination of large quantities of red wine, the BBC4 documentary on the SHH and a feeling of pity led me straight to Amazon's MP3 service.
What a regret. Lovely songs hidden beneath a sheen of over polished production. Hideous.
As I have said elsewhere I look forward to hearing them live without Bob Rock's influence smothering them.
