If you didn't see it just now. I'd recommend it on iplayer OR on the repeat at 12.30 AM. Fantastically chaotic story. Here's them at their height:

Recorded it for later viewing
but their message is relentless. Thumping, driving and exhausting in a good way.
Probably
THE unique band in the history of music? Nothing like them before or since.
They scared this 13 year old shitless at the time but I soon fell for them and am the proud owner of pretty much everything they've done.
Yeaaah Booooy!
Public Enemy are my sex pistols / clash / (insert insurrectionist parent baiting band here). The documentary has left me all over exited and wanting to play insanely loud squealing beat heavy music concrete but I suspect the FPO and 5yr old may not be too impressed.
ITANOMTHUB
No other record educated me so thoroughly. It changed my life.
The sleeve notes were like a the best insight into another world of politics and music not open to me in the wee, unfinished new town I lived in.
I'd say there are few records I have listened to more since then.
Public Enemy were hip hop's Concord moment, nothing else has been as revolutionary or high powered.
