Psychedelic Flak. A celebratory painting.

Pencilsqueezer's picture

To mark the publication of the momentous 100th issue of the finest magazine on planet Earth I thought a little painterly doodle would be in order.
It's a kind of sky rocket type firework thingy and is my way of contributing to the festivities. It is posted here on behalf of The Massive (cheeky bugger) as a thank you to all at Word Towers.
Over the years all the immensely talented folk who contribute to The Word have enriched my existence in a myriad of ways. I can't envisage life without you.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and may the long time sun shine upon you.
Peter.

Musical inspiration was provided by many of The Massive by a variety of means. Good on ya! You helped.....a lot.

Blown away by your art again, Mr P.

You'd better start working on the 200th issue artwork...

That's not good P.

That's flippin' brilliant.

If I had that on my wall I would want to stare at it all day. There is so much detail in it.

We are not worthy.

Truly excellent

My little girl has just reported that she also thinks it 'very good'

And that you've coloured in and stayed in the lines very well too.

I have to say she's not wrong.

1
Beezer | 9 May 2011 - 7:33pm

Well done Mr Squeezer

It is a beautiful, celebratory, splash of positivity in colour, I think it would make a marvellous cover to the "Top Massive Songs" box set.

0
Dave Amitri | 9 May 2011 - 7:50pm

You are...

...brilliant.

0
JoLean | 9 May 2011 - 7:53pm

I could do that!

but only now I've seen it.

As a now retired 'art' type, I need to regain the joy that got me into it in the first place.
It was always a vocation with me, well for the first half of my career, the latter half was fighting the power.
It made me ill, I gave up, hell my body gave up.
I'd still like to 'create'. When you open that retreat PS, please let me be a guest.
[sounds a bit like 'Sarah' by the Big Mac]

BTW...

Bastard!

James Blast | 9 May 2011 - 8:30pm

Nice one Centurion

like it

0
Nick Duvet | 9 May 2011 - 9:47pm

showed the wife

who is a crafts aficionado and she gave me the "fuck me, thats good" look. (she has a way with thoughts) The use of colour is quite Kaffe Fassett, course I knew that already.

0
Sid Williams | 9 May 2011 - 10:31pm

A heartfelt thank you.

Glad you like it. Hope all at Word Towers have enjoyed it,that was the point after all. Let the festivities begin. Mwah!
