This new album...
Is it quite good? Because "Five Years Time" really put me off them.
You know what?
It is good.
And I don't say that lightly, cos I find it hard to get my head around lots of new stuff. (It is my age!)
Good songs, well sung, interesting arrangements.
Certainly worth Spotifying to check it out...
Edit: played it again this a.m. and it is a good Sunday morning record.
What I like about it is that it has a proper album feel to it - it has a theme (breakup / heartache), it isn't trying too hard to be your friend, I like the instrumental passages, there are only 11 tracks - so enough to get intimate with. It makes its point & leaves.
