I like it very much
Although I think it makes a mistake. In the song, Major Tom is floating around quite happily, then Ground Control alerts Major Tom to a problem. In this book - the spaceship smashes up and *then* Ground Control tells him there's something wrong. Or have I missed the point of this song all this time?
I hate to be anal myself
but I don't think he's floating in a peculiar enough way in the illustrations I've seen.
