Just have to do it...
Posted by milkybarnick on 13 March 2010 - 11:30pm.
Whenever I hear the below, I have to bang out the end drum beat when it comes on the nearest solid surface. Any other examples of physical response caused by a certain record?

The Flaming Lips...
"Her name is Yoshimi, she,s a black belt in karate.. hey, hey" always merits a couple of half arsed karate kicks---not the best thing to do after recent meniscal surgery!!

'Rebellion (Lies)'
The quickfire double handclap before the final chorus.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
You've made my weekend, and it was already a good one.
Music affects me physically all the time. A lot of the time, sadly for my fellow users of public transport, I find myself involuntarily drumming on my knees. I can play the drums (not terribly well), so it's not COMPLETELY embarrassing, but... oh. Sorry. Yes it is. It's completely embarrassing. Anyway, happens a lot. If you happen to see a big fellow in a suit and black rimmed glasses on the Victoria line, weekdays at about 7.50 between Vauxhall and Highbury & Islington (usually in the front carriage), please feel free to come up to me and say "STOP FUCKING DRUMMING, ROB!"
There's that DUR! DUR! DUR-DUR DUR! bit at the end of the solo in "Back In Black" which makes me always, always, move my entire body in sync, from side to side. I can control it so it's not noticeable, but I do it every time.
Ummm, what else? Loads. I'll probably think of a hundred as soon as I press "submit".
So good
So good (bap bap), so good (bap, bap) - I got you! (bap bap bap bap bap bap bap - crack - baaaaaaaaaaaaap!)
Robbin' people with a

I must be a coloured girl...

Behind A Painted Smile
I've a Motown comp that edits that final drum beat from the track. Very disappointing. I love that drum part!
The End
Ringo's 'drum solo' from Abbey Road. Can't resist it. In The Air Tonight, Phil Collins. Perhaps it's because I can play most instruments, but not drums.
The outro to
Funeral Pyre. Rick Bucklers finest moment.
