Paul Weller's (and wife) twins!
Posted by Six Dog on 16 January 2012 - 3:49pm.
Congratulations to Paul Weller and his wife Hannah...
Called the twins Bowie and John-Paul. Shame he didn't go for George-Ringo to complete the set.
edit - I realise that little 'un is named after his old man but c'mon, it's an open goal, just tuck it away!

How many kids is that?
After the Pope?
Terrible names. Is Bowie boy or girl.
Isn't that seven children now?
Wrong wrong wrong
"Bowie" is not a first name. It just isn't. Saddling an innocent child with a name like that is an indicator of extreme knobbish tendencies. Sheesh!
'Lennon' was already taken...
...by a high-profile pop-star kid. I suspect if it hadn't we'd have had twins who could've covered 'Fame' in later life...
Good
I want my popstars to give their children stupid names.
I don't want to bump into my pop stars at B & Q buying some grouting, wearing jeans and old black t-shirt, introducing me to Jack and Olivia. I want them in a overpriced bar or restaurant with "Bowie" or "Blanket".
I approve wholeheartedly. In fact John-Paul is a bit too normal. I'd have preferred Bowie and Ronson or Bowie and Iggy.
Quite right...
... it's the non-celebs who give their kids daft names who are the knobheads - the same people who wear £300 trainers but can't be arsed getting their car MOT'd. (probably)
True
anyway he's probably got a more normal middle name as back-up - something like, I don't know, er...Marriott (and that's not because of being conceived in one of those hotels).
the Marriott angle..
.. has already been taken. He's got a son called Stevie Mac
And, I read, a daughter
called 'Jesamine'... makes his life a dream, apparently...
I agree
I agree,....there's precious little pop star bonkersness these days....I'm sick of bearded lumberjack lookalikes clogging up the music papers,....I realised this whilst watching the Adam Ant clip recently posted on here. Hooray for the Moonunits and Bowies of the pop-spring, it's chapter 1 page 1 of the Pop Handbook!
