I went to listen to this today, and it was wonderful. I sometimes wonder if we are producing enough music these days that will endure as well.

I'm sure we probably are, and I'm equally sure that if youngsters with this amount of talent continue to emerge, there will be similar recitals for others to enjoy in the future.

Modern classical
I've been to two classical concerts this week, both featuring modern composers of 20th and 21st centuries, brilliant nights both with amazing musicians playing fabulous music.
It's not often one's listening covers Steve Reich, Arvo Part, Sigur Ros and egyptian tango, and a pianist who appears to be trying to subdue the piano to her will!
Greatest song ever written
Unlikely to be surpassed - nearly 200 years and nobody's even got close.
Sensatonal...
..and quite moving.
They could have
lifted the piano off her for the photo!
