OGWT DVDs

Having moved house a few months back, I'm still unpacking boxes of stuff and, as one does, rediscovering forgotten gems. Earlier today I came across the 3 volumes of OGWT DVDs and spent the afternoon watching them - with the commentary tracks on...

If there's anyone here that hasn't done that, I can heartily recommend it - all the spirit of the Word podcast accompanied by top quality visuals

Seconded

For those who hate DVD commenteries these are for you. The third one with Mr Hepworth, Ellen and Kershaw is tops if just for Andy often helplessly laughing at Mark in full annecdote mode. and stick to the end for the endless humour of listing Half Man Half Buscuit album titles.

Thirded - spooky!

I also dug out the first two volumes this weekend - highlight for me was the shot of Messrs Ellen and Hepworth sat on the couch together, both doing their Wilco Johnson impression!

Comedy gold.

speaking of good fun commentary facts

Danny Baker and Charlie Shaar Murray on the Ramones story is one of the best i've ever heard, much better than the the story being told on the main body of the film.

I'd love to know

what the bit was concerning Seymour Stein and a party that Danny was invited to but made his excuses and was given a fiver for a taxi. It was excised from the commentary track.

Unless it was a bit of Danny's myth making

The Bake...

...myth-making? Surely not?
