NW Micro-Massive Mingle
Posted by millymollymandy on 8 January 2011 - 12:37pm.
Location: Frodsham Station
Time: Most weekdays, 7.20-7.25am (may go on longer - if we're unlucky)
Yesterday, one of my regular station buddies was bemoaning the late arrival of his subscription to Mojo. When I suggested he ought to be one of the Word Massive he stopped dead in his tracks and asked, "Do you post on the blog then? I read it most lunchtimes."
He said he'd "forgotten" his username (to be fair, knowing him, this seems entirely feasible) - but I guess he now knows who I am.
So let this be a warning to you all - the Massive may be closer than you realise.

*Looks nervously over shoulder*
Well that's three of us in the locale then - perhaps the Mingle after next should be in the Helter Skelter!
How was Laos?
Vale Royal Massive!
(if Vale Royal still existed.) I did mention there was a Norley contingent, and my (unidentified) friend showed some interest in our NW meet-ups, so maybe we could coordinate our transport plans for L'pool if we're all planning to go.
Laos was amazing, and far less scary to get there than I thought. Feel like a bit of a wuss now, but intercontinental travel on that scale, on my own, was new to me.
Tweeted some pics (@mmmathome) - what I remember most were the temples, the people (really lovely, and many spoke good English) and the impression that Vientiane was on the cusp of major development. Got to see some of the older Laos, but may not be so evident in a year or two.
They've already "redeveloped" the banks of the Mekhong and the riverside cafes (mentioned in all the guidebooks) that spring up at night have largely been replaced by a modern concrete & grass parkway.
I'm still keen to return though.
