Now that would have been an interesting evening

Just been on Ticketmaster and a little surprised to see you can book tickets for Dusty Springfield in Concert at Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion.
Sadly, it's an impersonator. (no, not Duffy or Shelby etc, she's called Katy Setterfield). Trades descriptions, anyone?

Glen

Elvis is always still playing everywhere at the same time in theatres all over the country. Amazing.Multiple versions of the Glen Miller / Jo Loss/ Orchestra are also doing mighty well.
Being serious, the good news is that they've finally found Glen Miller's plane after his disappearance many moons ago. The bad news is they found ten new arrangments in the plane too.

Duffy

Duffy really doesn't sound like Dusty Springfield though, does she?

On the subject of Tributes and copycats....

..I was distressed to see that an overseas tribute act to our wonderful Talon recently played in London.
Not a patch on the originals, I am told, just a bunch of californian longhairs playing stuff with which the audience remained largely unfamiliar.

Haha...

...I remember reading once in a local newspaper a few years back that Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie would be playing at the Brecon Jazz Festival! Somebody wrote in to tell them their obvious mistake, and it emerged that it was a 'tribute to' job.
