Now U2 are at it..

So, in the footsteps of Paul Simon, now U2 are getting in on the "invite a fan onstage to play with the band" act.
Last night, at the end of a gig in Nashville, the When Love Comes to Town hitmakers invited a blind fan onstage to perform "All I Want Is You". It's actually rather sweet. And, afterwards, Bono gave him his guitar.
Nice.

They've been at it for ages...
They did it all the way through their 1987 tour with the song People Get Ready. Pciking a fan who can play guitar, showing them the chords and getting them to play. Clip here:
They even let a pensioner have a go.
Is that the American U2?
Bono doesn't sound at all Irish.
Everybody knows
that Bonio is an arse of the first order, but maybe, just maybe, he is actually a really nice guy.
That's all.
I've met him.....
....and I don't think he's an arse at all. He's just incapable of doing anything which isn't pregnant with significance. He's what my mother would have called "a nice man but affected".
I don't mind Bono.
He's tremendously self-important, but then he's been famous since the age of twenty. It'd turn your head, wouldn't it?
watched this. it's so
watched this. it's so staged. the blind guy knew exactly what song to play. i feel sorry for the other 3 in U2
