Now 73 - does ANY ONE actually have the full set
Posted by Tony Donaghey on 21 July 2009 - 9:48am.
Saw it advertised last night - and as I've not even got one it got me wondering that some people must have the full set. Are there any other full sets of anything you've completed or are looking to complete??? See a man regularly in town with a little book of lists scouring tracklistings - never actually asked him what he's looking for - maybe I should.

I felt the Now compilations
I felt the Now compilations were never the same after they retired the pig in sunglasses
he was sacked...
after a disturbing incident involving pigettes of the night, cracklin' cocaine, an orange and someone who looked like Angus Deyton.
I heard
the swine flew. Thangyew.
my first iPod was second
my first iPod was second hand and came with an eclectic mix of someone's Dad's music on it. Complete Beatles, Abba, Carpenters and Kate Bush, some of those "this offer is not available in the shops" compilations plus every single Now CD up to that point.
So I guess I did have the full set until I plugged my iPod into iTunes.
You do know
that didn't have to happen, don't you?
I misread this thread...
and thought you were after a 'Number 73 box set' - Toksvig forever!
73 years of 'Now...' who woulda thunk it?
Toksvig
of the Sandy variety is featured in the Gay Icons Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Charing Cross Road I noticed as I walked past last night. They recently had a damn good set of Dylan photos.
What???
Dylan's gay?
Nope
He's very, very miserable.
Yes, some people collect
Yes, some people collect them all. Bob Stanley of Saint Etienne actually offered a limited edition SE EP, so-called Now 4, to people who sent him Now albums to help him complete his library of them! A nice bit of interation with fans I thought.

Just missing Now 4 and Now 9
On CD anyway - not interested in the others that were only on vinyl or cassette.
Early Now CDs go for stupid money - expect to pay over £100 for Now 4.

Shine on
I've got the full set of Shine CDs that basically dociumented the Britpop years. (I did cheat and get a couple I missed from ebay for 99p each when I was ripping all my CDs and thought the gaps should be filled.)
I have a feeling that somewhere on the internet...
... you can download the complete collection.
