No Big Ross

Apparently JR is leaving the BBC the amount we've paid him I am surprised he's stayed so long and not wandered off to play tennis with Ricky Gervais and dust his Japanese robot collection.
So what will we miss now the great man has left:
The 4 puffs and a piano?
The tedious pointless interviews with American actresses where he seems to be alluding to anal sex almost from the word go?
His tame gimp Andy laughing at everything he says on his taped "saturday morning" radio show?
Surely not Film 2010 is it still on?
Anymore 14 Million pounds worth of gems to share?

Better than Parky and Wogan
I'm sorry he's leaving the BBC. He was good on Channel 4 but was better at the Beeb and got the recognition and fame he deserved.
He's quick-witted, cheeky, enthusiastic, and takes the piss out of himself. Even if he occasionally does creep up to dull American actors, he usually comes up with an interesting angle in his interviews. He's also knowledgeable about films.
You only have to compare him with big-headed Parky and his rambling, mumbling questions which were so long he lost interest and started looking at his knees.
And he's far better than stilted, chummy Wogan.
As for Ross' salary, Clarkson is probably on more but because his 'humour' is more in tune with most of the pub bores in charge of the London media, it's all about Ross.
congratulations
your parallel universe must have invented a time travel device as the JR in our world couldn't find a ounce of wit in a bucket.
Arf-arf!
But surely I wouldn't need a time travel device, more an interdimensional nebuliser to find a portal in your universe.
pleased to hear it,
I mostly refuse to watch or listen to anything he's done these days. His 'interviews' seem to consist of fawning over, asking inane questions or being deliberately and pointlessly provocative to the usual round of 'celebs' or hollywood actors with a film or book to sell. I know that's the name of the game, but there has to be a better way than playing every interview to the hyped up audience in the studio. Give me Parky any time, although I realise that was undoubtedly in a gentler age.
As for saturday morning radio, well with Danny Baker on at the same time there's no comparison whatsoever, and no competition either. The film reviews I'm sure are reasonable, but Mark Kermode would do it all so much better. Ross has been lost in his own celebrity for too long now. Won't be missed here.
Dr kermode
is to take over Ross's film review gig. Life is as it should be.
I will make a point of watching...
I haven't bothered with Film... since B.Norman quit.
Me too.
Ross practically put me off a whole artform!
FETCH THE GIMP
"But he's asleep!"
"Well wake him up then"
Ah, best bit of Pulp Fiction for me. Needed to be done, apologies.
