Arrived this am through the letterbox. Awesome cover star, good beard choice...
It's come round quick...
...I still haven't finished the Bowie one yet.
Personally I can take or leave the bearded coverstar but thoroughly looking forward to the rest of it.
Of course less
than 10 miles for Word towers my postman is still only halway through his 6 hour gasper break and I may yet recieve my copy this evening as happened last week wiht some other post.
No Naked Elderly Gent?
I am shocked.
It does seem to be a case of beard / nude older man. Can we please have a lady on the cover soon? It's becoming a bit of a cliche.
Maybe not
Just because I said "beard" you're assuming it's a man!
(it is a man)
Yay! A great cover image!
If I had my way all of the covers would be shot by Shamil Tanna. I know f-all about photography but he really captures something in his portraits.
He is a very talented chap...
he really is. One of the best portrait photographers to appear in a long time.
I take it all back
my posty who always announcers HERSELF breezily as "PostMAN" (?) just plopped my copy on the doormat . Huzzah! oh and I've paid off my loan double huzzah might have a fig roll to celebrate.
As you say nice photo.
update: oh and Hope Sandoval on the cd triple Huzzah! *puts 3rd fig roll back in tin (in case meets Hope) brushes greying locks with licked palm...."
Chris,
clearly Hope springs eternal...
NB Nice of you to save her the third one.
tee hee!

Where can I get me one of those Phil Oakey 'Girl's Worlds' - to make up and cherish forever?
Thank You!
As a subscriber, the new issue arrived today. The Bowie one has gone AWOL (well, it never arrived), so I went out and bought it. Thanks for getting the new one out to us!
Finally got round to...
resubscribing, after a year and a bit buying it from Tesco! First sub issue is here... Bugger! That means I only have 23 issues left before I need to go through the whole rigmarole again...
Hats off to my postie
The mag turned up yesterday with the flimsy plastic wrapper once again sagging open at one end. The CD had somehow managed to stay inside this time (no bands the sorters fancied this month?); however, Mr Hepworth's covering letter was nowhere to be seen.
For while I marvelled at how the postie had managed to deliver to the correct letter box without the address which would normally be printed on the Hepworth missive, but having a gander at the CD later on I noticed that my name and address had been printed (barely indistinguishable from the picture) on the front cover of the CD. Postie did well to spot that...
What's going on? Hepworth writer's block? Environmental push to reduce paper use? Printing cock up?
Time to use slightly sturdier envelope?
Hmmm
That doesn't sound right. Will pass your post on to the relevant authorities for investigation.
