There's a free download of the opening track, 'Oh, The Divorves' from Tracey Thorn's new album over on her website. Subtle, un-dance-y, but with gorgeous vox, as usual...

Thanks
It's a lovely song. A new Tracey Thorn album is something to look foward to. Don't much care for the cover art though...
Thought her album was a
Thought her album was a lovely effort - bit of a slow grower, but gorgeous once it gets under the skin. Favourite track was Nowhere Near, the sparse style of which this feels like a continuation of.
Wonder why Mr & Mrs don't want to do another EBTG album. Still play the Walking Wounded album, and there was some great tracks on the follow-up, notably Lullaby of Clubland...
Agreed
I'm listening to Out of the Woods now - lovely stuff.
If you get chance, check out
If you get chance, check out the Escort remix of It's All True. Don't normally get excited by remixes much these days, but thought that actually eclipsed the original. It's available on Spotify at...

Lovely
It is a lovely track. I was disappointed with her last album though - all those bleeping synths - I was hoping for something more aching and acoustic as in the best of EBTG - some of "Idlewild" is sublime (apart from the toy town drum machine)and "Amplified Heart" is a joy.
This kills me
And this...
And this, featuring Danny Thompson (docked a good bloke point for dissing EBTG after taking their hard earned for the sessions on which he played beautifully and should have been proud, the idiot)
What did he say about them
that was disrespectful?
Something to the effect that
the music was obviously crap but it was nice money in the old pocket. Obviously.
Acoustic
According to, ahem, another mag, the new album is stripped back and acoustic. Can't wait.
