the history lesson...

as my mate Mick says...'Seems the Indians turned out to be cowboys...'
Indeed
while the human side is sub judice I guess, would be interested in what people think about the kit itself.
The sooner somebody does this right the better, imo, as I hope not to be limited to laptops/phones/netbooks for ever.
I've always been a fan of Archos products, myself
http://www.archos.com
I've looked that these with interest myself
and was reading Margolis's FT review of one just this week-which one(s) have you used ?
Mine's the ancient 605
...Though it has a great screen, handles most formats I throw at it, and was a life saver for entertaining a restless daughter on long voyages. It also doubles as a PVR and a GPS. It's a nifty, well thought out device, with nifty, well thought out accessories.
I'd happily upgrade to a later version if I had the $$$, but it still does everything I want it to do.
When Apple release their tablet
it will energise and legitimise the market - as with the iPhone.
BUT, when will Apple release a tablet? Steve Jobs killed the Newton off as soon as he returned to Apple and has shown little enthusiasm for such devices since.
Maybe it'll be a 'big iPhone' rather than a 'small Macbook'?
I likethe look of this
The joo-joo looks like the D's Bs. That's exactly the kind of product that I want in the future. All phones are too small and (am I right?) the kindle is words/ basic design only.
Late I know---
but my recent tablet digging has thrown up this update on the status of the JooJoo, see
