Been all around the houses
with Paul. From respect, to love, to indifference, to respect, back to love, to a bit more non-plussed. Anyhow, this is great and proves his last comeback wasn't a half-assed one but a real one. Great stuff.
1995-2005
During that time I didn't really enjoy what Weller was doing. But the last few years I think he's put out some of the best songs of his career. Loving it.
I have a lot of time for Weller
but am I the only one who thinks 4 months between this teaser track and the album is just bloody ridiculous?

Someone's been listening to The Horrors, who in turn had listened to loads of bands who'd listened to The Jam.
Here's a question for someone
with too much time on their hands. How many songs has Paul Weller written and released? When you consider the sheer number, styles and quality over such a long period of time there really isn't anyone who comes close as a songwriter is there?

update for quite a while - but he was certainly in the UK top 5 Singer / songwriters of cumlative chart weeks & # of singles realeased - behind the obvious ones of Macca & Elton, Van the Harp
Again off the top of my head I thinks it's about 300+ published songs so far - must be 18 or 19 LPs + an early passion for non LP singles + b sides....
