New New Order sort of

There's be a lot of blather about Joy Division lately and even as a big fan I'm not sure after 2 films and at least 2-3 documentaries we need another. But this doesn't stop me loving them or even more New Order. To keep the flame burning for Barney and the gang here's some NO related nuggets enjoy!

The marvellous Laura Cantrell on her new download Lp has covered Love Vigilante by from "low Life" like all good covers it shines new light on already great song.

This is new to me but someone has been making videos for New order songs that never got one originally. This one is for "Temptation" and involves the former lead singer of the Concretes. This may add tinder to the indie sexless debate but I like it.

Next New order have spawned many copyist here's the latest from Sweden Don Agbai

by Arcade Fire. None more Order.

Leaders of the new Australian electro-pop revolution Cut Copy

recently hit no.1 in Aus album charts. I absolutely adore how they mix shameless New Orderism with much less cool influences.

Missing The Moon

by The Field Mice.

I've seen the new Joy Division doc by the way. It is wonderful, and features some amazing footage, including the tape recording of Bernard Sumner attempting to hypnotically regress Ian Curtis, very shortly before he died.
