New Ipod HELP

geacher53's picture

Because Apple can't. When I try to sync my iPod, I get a message..."iTunes was unable to load provider data from sync services error(9)". The Apple girl is going to call me back tomoorow night with "a solution, I hope". I have had about six calls to the Apple Helpdesk, and nowhere close to a solution.
Note. Got the IPod replaced on Saturday, so the new new iPod is not the problem. Allegedly.
Everything is updated. Any clues from The Massive?

Apologies if you've already done this...

But have you googled the error message? There seems to be a few people with similar issues.

Cheers Fraser

It worked to a certain extent.... downloaded the day old update iTunes 9.2.1...now that stopped the "load provider" message, but still the iPod refuses to sync any music, which was the original fault in the pod that I returned to Apple on Saturday.

Try this

If you are using a windows PC

Close iTunes

Remove contents of folder “C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Application Data\Apple Computer\SyncServices\Local”

Start iTunes and reconnect your iPhone.

But other than resetting your Ipod then trying to sync it again. I'm out of ideas mate

Have tried

Using a different USB port? Sounds obvious but this has fixed no end of sync problems for me and my pals. Sometimes your current port just can't be arsed.
