New Dylan compilation - Bootleg Series

If you are a Dylan fan, you may want to check out his homepage (http://bobdylan.com/) which has details of the latest instalment of the Bootleg Series. This one is mainly unreleased songs from 1989 to 2006. If you register for the site, you can also get a download of one of the tracks. Like a lot of albums these days, there is a deluxe edition with an extra CD and a book of singles covers.

$130

for the De Luxe edition!
I've no doubt it will sell out. It all fits in with the inflation in ticket prices.

Honestly

Can't he just stop?

lovelyian | 29 July 2008 - 12:22pm

Why should he?

If you could travel the world doing what you love for thousands of adoring fans would you really give it all up to potter about in the garden and drink tea?

Niks | 29 July 2008 - 3:51pm

Increasingly, rather than "adoring"

I think "quietly disappointed" would be a more accurate description of the reaction to his current shows, to judge from the reviews I've read and friends who've seen him mumbling away for an hour and a half behind his joanna.

Dreamin'

Dreamin' Of You, the free download, is pretty good.

Pat Carty | 29 July 2008 - 12:54pm

Yeah but this is Bob Dylan, not Babyshambles

so "pretty good" really isn't good enough, is it? He needs to take a leaf out of Big Len's book, disappear for three or four years and recover some of the mystique. Ubiquity has never become him.

Outtakes

Great! Tracks not considered at the time to be as good as Wiggle Wiggle!
